How
I understand coaching
I) The fundamental principle
The academic principles of my coaching proposition are:
Classical psychology
The systemic approach
Topic-focussed interaction
The various schools of thought are, for example:
• TA Transaction Analysis
(see below)
• Systemic, e.g. circular
questions, system visualisation,
analysis of dynamics, behavioural therapy, e.g. role
play
• TFI – Topic-Focussed
Interaction
• NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming,
e.g. reframing, anchoring
II) In Coaching I stand for
• Development impulses and
accompanying clients or
organizations, helping to contribute to more satisfaction
and success
• Humanitarianism and target-orientation,
which for me
are reconcilable
• Judicial use of instruments
and theoretical models –
only if and when they are beneficial to the client’s
needs
• Working on two levels: on
the one level with the inner
resources to discover the client’s true potential,
on the other
implementing the next steps, with a tried and true
structure,
towards achieving the client goals.
III)
Transaction Analysis
I have an special affinity for Eric Berne’s transaction
analysis. |
